Bioleptin

If medical studies carry any weight, the answer may be "yes". Bioleptin A review published in the Journal of American Medicine analyzed data from almost 26 studies to determine how pedometers affect calorie burning behavior. These trials consistently demonstrated that pedometer users increased daily physical activity by more than 2000 steps a day compared with non-pedometer users. That 2000 steps is roughly an extra mile of walking each day. This finding represents a 25 percent increase in physical activity which is significant since the majority of study participants in both groups were inactive prior to the study.Setting step goals seems to be important when it comes to successful calorie burning. Individuals who chose to maintain a daily step goal were much more likely to show increased levels of physical activity. Also people who set step goals were more likely to weigh less. Increased activity wasn't the only health benefit in this study. Blood pressures were lower in pedometer users, although blood sugars and cholesterol levels were not significantly different.Pedometers are now readily available and can be purchased in most sporting goods stores and even online. Although fancier models can be costly, you can get a decent pedometer without all the bells and whistles for under $10.00. Fancier isn't always better when it comes to pedometers. You just need one that will do the job.So, forget the fancy exercise equipment and the costly gym membership. An inexpensive pedometer combined with well defined step goals may be an easier way to burn more calories which can mean more weight loss and a healthier lifestyle. Anyone who claims not to have the time or desire to engage in regular exercise can adopt this painless technique as a first step in improving their health and fitness. Why not consider grabbing a pedometer and setting some stepping goals?
