Hearing loss
oleh Ruby dylan (2020-09-14)
Deafness or hearing loss is the inability to hear sounds; usually from damage to the inner ear or nerves. There are many causes that generate this condition, aging is the main cause of deafness, among other causes. 1 in 6 adults experiences some degree of deafness or hearing loss and it is progressive over the years. As with the eye, the performance of the ear is affected by aging. However, poor vision gradually makes reading more difficult as the letters get smaller, but hearing loss is different.
Deafness or hearing loss can make certain syllables and sounds more difficult to hear. For example, sharp consonants like f, s and t are easily drowned out by stronger, sharper vowels like a, o, and u.
