This tutorial is to help you with PSX Windows. It is a PlayStation 1 emulator running at full capacity right from the box. That's fine for people who do not want to fuss with the plug-in system ePSXe. You can play games via CD-ROM or via e ISO. pSX was abandoned in 2007. Still a good emulator, though.

* If you want to download PSX I have it on my page emulators.

When using pSX?
With all offers from 2020 emulator, you use pSX? Well, probably not. A rising star on the scene is RetroArch, multi-system emulator that supports more than 40 systems. It's emulation PlayStation 1 is fantastic. Do not use a plugin system, so you do not have to bother with plugins to set up everything as you need to do with ePSXe. You can also correct gittery 3D.

However, what pSX has to offer it is for use with older computers and slow. If you have an older computer, RetroArch can not run. ePSXe might work better on older computers if you adjust for performance plugins low, but pSX is ready for old computers right out of the box.

The PlayStation 1 BIOS is required in order to start games. This is a separate download after you have downloaded pSX. Here you can download the BIOS.
