Replenish 911

oleh Francene Frayer (2020-08-04)

However, it was only a couple decades Replenish 911 ago that manufacturers started being held accountable for how they process their foods and the additives put into them. Luckily, our society began to enter a sort of health renaissance where consumers began questioning what their foods were made of and how healthy they were. As a matter of fact, customers might have refused to purchase things such as sugary cereals made in the early 20th century on the grounds of bad nutrition and a high risk of tooth decay, if they had only known what little nutritional value they had. As a result of the rise of health conscious people altering purchasing decisions, foods started popping up everywhere advertised as "reduced fat" and even "fat free," and it wasn't until slightly later still were the companies required to prove their claims. The FDA began instilling standards that food manufacturers must support their claims and offer proof. But how accurate are the labels, truly? Are they just telling us what we want to hear so we can eat good-tasting foods guilt-free? Is the fat content truthful? More importantly, when was the last time you had a craving for some indulgent foods and analyzed the numbers on the label? If you're like some people today, you as the consumer aren't likely going to question what you see.
